Pakuranga Rotary Community Service Award
On Monday 21st July, 2025, I was delighted to receive a special award in recognition of outstanding service and dedication in our local community. I am very grateful to Pakuranga Rotary for this honour.
Botany Creek Clean Up
Bruce Kendall and the Tamaki Estuary Protection Society organised a fantastic community event on Sunday 29th June. There was a great turn out of volunteers and we cleaned the rubbish from Botany Creek and surrounding river bank. Bruce Kendall and Jack Collins donned their waders to remove items like shopping trolleys and road cones from the creek bed.
Shelly Park School Events
During my time on the Shelly Park PTA, I helped organise a number of school and community events. I have also been actively involved in school trips and school activities such as beach clean-ups. Each year, the Board of Trustees organises a themed quiz night, which is always great fun!
East Auckland Tourism
As part of my role as Sales and Events lead for East Auckland Tourism in 2024, I led the organisation of many events. These included; the Howick Historical Walks as part of the 2024 Auckland Heritage Festival: Moana Oceania, as well as activations at the Howick Santa Parade and the Howick Village Christmas Market. I also led the organisation of a business networking event and the AGM.
